    Accounting Diploma Level 3 (AAT)

    This course is for those that would like to become an accountant or learn the skills and knowledge that would be needed to succeed in an accounting position. The course will be held at our Lichfield Campus over the period of a year - 1 day a week. Throughout the duration of the course, students will complete units in order to complete the level 3 diploma. The majority of the units to be completed will be mandatory and all help to provide a deeper understanding of accountancy. The units are: Advanced Bookkeeping Prepare final accounts for sole traders and partnerships Management Accounting: Costing Indirect Tax Spreadsheets for Accounting Ethics for Accountants Synoptic Note: All assessments are under controlled conditions, and are assessed by AAT. The Synoptic exam contains written answers, and takes approximately 6 weeks to assess.

    Throughout the duration of the course, students will complete both mandatory and optional units. These units will cover a variety of different areas that are associated with accounting, enabling students to widen their knowledge and skills in these areas. The compulsory units to be completed are: Management Accounting - Budgeting Management Accounting - Decision Making and Control Financial Statements of Limited Companies Synoptic The optional units that will be chosen from are: Business Tax Personal tax External Auditing Cash and Treasury Management Credit Management Note: All assessments will be undertaken via controlled conditions, and are assessed by AAT. All contain written answers, and take approximately 6 weeks to assess.
