That’s A Wrap: Employee Completes Grant-Funded Vehicle Wrapping Course

One of the South Staffordshire-based businesses to receive a 100% Skills Hub Training Grant – covering the entire cost of the course – is The Print Box Limited. This four-person team is based in Four Ashes, on the edge of the Staffordshire border, and their work involves producing branded products for businesses: they work with a range of items, from embroidered workwear to vehicle graphics and signage, as well as doing some print management.

The Print Box first learned about how the Skills Hub can support SMEs during a local event organised by South Staffordshire Council, and from there they got in touch to apply for a Training Grant.

The grant was used to fund a vehicle wrap course for a member of the Print Box team; as the name suggests, vehicle wrapping entails covering the surface of a vehicle in vinyl to transform its appearance – it’s often used on corporate vehicles to display the business’ name, logo and contact details (though of course it can be used for decorative purposes as well).

The director of The Print Box, Sean Pearce, revealed that “The training has given us the assistance to train up another member of staff on vehicle graphics which, in time, will create another opening for a new employee once that person has moved over full time to the graphics side.

We would recommend a Skills Hub Training Grant; as a small business it’s important to take all the help that is on offer.”
